Yes. After completing a Homam, Kalyanam, Kunkumarchana or the other sevas listed below, devotees can join the ₹150 (Seeghra Darshan) queue line and have Alankara Darshan of Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy.
The same seva ticket is enough. You do not need to buy a separate ₹150 ticket.
In Alankara Darshan, devotees see Mallikarjuna Swamy from a distance and do namaskaram. Sparsha Darshan (touching the Shiva Lingam) is not included.
Sevas this applies to
- Homams: Mrityunjaya Homam (also called Maha Mrityunjaya Homam), Rudra Homam, Chandi Homam, Sakshi Ganapathi Homam
- Kalyanams: Leela Kalyanam, Valli Devasena Subramanya Swamy Kalyanam (see the Leela Kalyanam note below)
- Kunkumarchana and Kunkumarchana (Prakaramandapam)
- Sarpadosha Nivarana Puja
- Umamaheswara Swamy Vratham
- Veda Aseervachanam
- Gow Puja
- Aksharabhyasam
- Annaprasana
- Sri Vruddha Mallikarjuna Swamy Abhishekam and Sri Vruddha Mallikarjuna Swamy Bilwarchana (see the note below)
Important note for Leela Kalyanam
For Leela Kalyanam, finish your darshan before the seva. Go to the queue about 1 hour before your Leela Kalyanam time slot.
Note for Vruddha Mallikarjuna Swamy Abhishekam
For Sri Vruddha Mallikarjuna Swamy Abhishekam, devotees usually go for Mallikarjuna Swamy darshan first and then attend the seva.
Exception (temporary): while the temple website is down, a family member who goes along with a Samuhika or Garbhalaya Abhishekam couple can use this ticket, one per person, to go with the couple and touch the Shiva Lingam. On its own, this ticket gives the Abhishekam at the Sri Vruddha Mallikarjuna Swamy temple and Alankara Darshan. See: How to get the Abhishekanthar Darshan ticket when the temple website is not working?
Not covered here
- Garbhalaya Abhishekam and Samuhika Abhishekam: in these Abhishekams, devotees touch the Shiva Lingam as part of the seva itself.
- Udayasthamana Seva, Pradoshakala Seva and Prathahkala Seva: the darshan arrangement for these sevas is not covered on this page.
