When Are Srisailam Darshan and Seva Tickets Released? How Many Days in Advance Can I Book?

There is no fixed number of days for advance booking. Srisailam darshan and seva tickets are released month by month: all tickets for a month are released around the last week of the month before.

For example, October tickets are released around the last week of September. So for 1 October you can book about one week ahead, and for 31 October about five weeks ahead.

Sparsha Darshan is sometimes released first. Sometimes Sparsha Darshan tickets are released first, and the other darshan and seva tickets about 2 days later. If Sparsha Darshan tickets for a month are already released but your seva or other darshan is not showing yet, check again after a couple of days.

Book as soon as possible after release. It is best to book as soon as possible after the tickets are released.

Once a month's tickets are released, you can book any date in that month that still has tickets, until the day itself.

This applies to Sparsha Darshan, Athi Sheeghra and Sheeghra Darshan, and Sevas such as Abhishekam, Kumkumarchana, Homam and Kalyanam. VIP / Protocol darshan is different: the recommendation letter must reach the Protocol Department at least 2 days before.

How to Book Srisailam Darshan and Seva Tickets ?

How to Book Srisailam Darshan and Seva Tickets

There are three recommended ways to book Srisailam Darshan and Seva tickets:

  1. Official Srisailam Devasthanam Website
https://www.srisailadevasthanam.org/ Note: currently website and app not working
  2. AP Government WhatsApp Mana Mitra
You can use the official WhatsApp Mana Mitra service to check availability and book eligible Darshan and Seva tickets.
  3. Offline Counter at Srisailam
Offline counters can provide Seeghra Darshan and Athiseeghra Darshan tickets.

Important: Check Both Online Booking Channels

The Srisailam Devasthanam website and WhatsApp Mana Mitra have separate quotas. Therefore, if a ticket or Seva is unavailable through one channel, check the other channel as well.

Availability on one channel does not necessarily mean that the same ticket or Seva is unavailable through the other channel.

Known Booking Problems

1. “Something went wrong” during website registration

Sometimes the Srisailam Devasthanam website may show a “Something went wrong” error while registering. In some cases, this problem may continue for several days.

If you experience this problem, try booking through WhatsApp Mana Mitra instead.

2. Payment completed but WhatsApp Mana Mitra ticket is not generated

Sometimes payment may be deducted but the ticket may not immediately appear in WhatsApp Mana Mitra.

  • Wait approximately 20 minutes.
  • If the ticket is still not generated and the payment has been deducted, do not immediately make another payment.
  • When you arrive at Srisailam on the booked date, visit the CRO office.
  • A touchscreen kiosk is available at the CRO office.
  • Select WhatsApp Ticket on the kiosk.
  • Enter the mobile number used for the booking.
  • The kiosk can generate and print the ticket.

Example: If you booked a Darshan or Seva ticket for 15 August and the ticket was not generated in WhatsApp after successful payment, you can visit the CRO office at Srisailam on 15 August and use the kiosk to obtain the printed ticket.

3. “Payment Link is not generated. Please try again.” in WhatsApp Mana Mitra

Possible reason (not officially confirmed): devotees have seen this message when the booking limit for the selected Seva or Darshan on that date appears to be reached. The official reason has not been published, so it may also happen for other reasons. Try using another mobile with another Whatsapp .

Srisailam Sparsha Darshan: ( AUGUST ) New Rules for VIP Recommendation Letters

Srisailam Sparsha Darshan: Changes for Recommendation Letters

The Srisailam Devasthanam has made several changes to the timings for Sparsha Darshan for VIPs and prominent persons arriving with recommendation letters.

According to the latest decision, devotees with recommendation letters will not be permitted for Sparsha Darshan during the morning and afternoon on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Sparsha Darshan will be permitted only during the night on these three days.

During the Fridays of the holy Shravan ( august ) month, Sparsha Darshan will be permitted only during the night, with limited access.

During the Fridays of the holy Shravan ( august ) month, No Abhishekam tickets .

VIPs and prominent persons must submit their recommendation letters digitally to the temple’s Protocol Department at least two days before the scheduled darshan. Officials have advised sending the letters to protocol@srisailadevasthanam.org or via WhatsApp to 91600 16215.

Letters that are not received in advance, or letters submitted directly on the day of darshan, cannot be processed. EO Srinivasa Rao has urged devotees to take note of these changes and cooperate with the temple administration.

Must-Do Rituals

Must-Do Rituals

Five rituals every devotee should try to complete at Srisailam. Tap any one to read it.

🌊 RITUAL 1 Holy Bath in Krishna River ▼

Take a holy bath in the Krishna River (Pathala Ganga) with Sankalp.

🚡 Ropeway
6 AM – 6 PM
🚶 Steps
From 3 AM

The steps open early — best for a sunrise bath.

Want to avoid the steps?
Hire an auto or car to reach the river and do the Sankalp bath before sunrise.

🪔 RITUAL 2 Light Deepam & Offer Dhoopam ▼

Devotees light deepams at Gangadhara Mandapam — before the main temple gopuram, near the large restricted gate. At the same place you can also offer dhoopam to the Jyotirlingam and Bhramaramba Devi. This is said to bring immense wealth.

🕯️ For deepam: cold-pressed sesame oil or desi cow ghee (the vedic way is preferred).
🔥 For dhoopam: dried desi cow dung cakes must be used. Also called dhoop, sambrani or incense.
🐄 RITUAL 3 Feed Cows Inside the Temple ▼

Fresh grass is available at stalls inside the temple.

🛕 RITUAL 4 Pradakshina around Jyotirlingam ▼

Doing pradakshina around the Jyotirlingam removes even prarabdha karma. This is one of the greatest spiritual benefits of visiting a Jyotirlinga.

📄 Pradakshina Route Map (PDF) ↓
🙏 RITUAL 5 Pind Daan (Ancestral Rites) ▼

A sacred ritual performed for departed ancestors — to help their souls attain moksha, break the cycle of rebirth, and receive their blessings. Performing it at a powerful Teertha Sthala is considered far more effective than elsewhere.

Why Srisailam is especially auspicious
It is a rare holy place where all three are present together:
🛕A Jyotirlinga
🔱A Shakti Peeth
🌊The sacred Krishna River
This combination greatly amplifies the punya of the ritual. It can also compensate for Pitru Doshas or missed annual Shraddha ceremonies.
